Benchmarking Bank Board Loan Approvals and Ratifications

Some time ago, AABD asked the FDIC to create a personal liability safe harbor for bank directors whose boards approve and ratify loans. The FDIC did not agree to do so.

AABD will be requesting the FDIC to reconsider its position. Benchmarking the practice of board loan approval and ratification of loans will help us to prepare the request and assist bank boards to compare their practices with peers.
